JULIE PURVES, volunteer
I have two children, Ezra is 3 and Emmy is 16 months.
Babywearing is important to me because I like to be active and outside. Babywearing has allowed me to do that when my son was a baby and a really late walker. Then my daughter came along and babywearing was a life saver at home and out and about with two kids.
I decided to volunteer with NYBabywearing because in addition to learning so much about babywearing, I have loved getting to know the community of people and wanted to be more apart of it.
I can usually be found at the Croton meeting. My favorite activities to do while babywearing is hiking, walking and spending time outside. When I'm not babywearing I can usually be found hanging with my kids, crafting and home projects or reading.
