I have a son, Benjamin who is 2.
Babywearing is important to me because it allows me to be close to my son and share great adventures and things I love with him.
I decided to volunteer for NYBabywearing because I felt that babywearing helped me so much as a new mom and I wanted to share that love with others.
When things aren't crazy busy I can usually be found at the Westchester weekend meeting. If I have off from teaching I try and make Westchester weekday meeting. My favorite activity to do while babywearing is hiking. When I’m not babywearing I can usually be found running, pushing a stroller.
Joining this group became so much more than just learning about babywearing and helping others with their carriers. I look forward to going to meetings because there was comfort in seeing familiar faces going through similar new mom things I was facing. Some of the people and their children I met at these meetings have become some of me and my son's closest friends.
